Some lyrics

Hi guys and gals, I haven't written in a long time! Oh well. Busy with work.

Anyway, here are some lyrics to get us to reflect on the coming Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

note to choir: practice your parts at home!!

There on the cross
Where Jesus died,
Enduring mocking, scorn and hate;
There on the cross,
He took my sin;
And for my life, His, He gave.

They crowned Him with
A crown of thorns,
And dressed Him with scarlet robes;
Not knowing that
He was the Lord,
Whom kings and prophets all foretold.

(chorus)
So when I look upon the cross,
My heart is touched beyond degree.
How can it be? How can it be?
My Saviour, Jesus, died for me?

And so my sins are washed away,
As Jesus’ blood was shed that day.
He died for me; He died for you;
I pray that you’ll accept Him too.

(chorus)
So when I look upon the cross,
My heart is touched beyond degree.
How can it be? How can it be?
The Kings of Kings died for me?

There on the cross,
Where Jesus died,
Enduring mocking, scorn and hate;
There on the cross,
He took our sin;
And for our lives, His, He gave.

It's to the tune of a billy joel song. Lily tried to sing it but the rhythm is VERY tricky. i don't think amelia realised how tricky the rhythem in that song is coz she listens to it so many times. nice song tho. i'm butchering the lyrics so i can fit it to another song. ok , mayb not butchering but like adjusting the # of syllables and such.
